Pedestrian crossing
An area where pedestrians cross the road and drivers of vehicles or
animals must stop to give way.
It is used to indicate the places or areas of traffic where
pedestrians cross or transit.
The pedestrian crossing sign falls into the category of traffic
warning signs. It is common to see this signage at intersections
of suburban roads, near parks and near shopping centers.
The passages regulated by road markings are those marked with
wide white transverse lines. At these crossings, pedestrians
always have preference over vehicles.
